![]() The Sudbury Skating club offers a Learn to Skate Program for children of all ages, and is the entry level to other programs offered. The participants are on the ice, moving over 90% of the time, and each skater progresses at their own rate, while informal evaluation is completed. Coaches make the sessions active, using tools that create a fun environment to promote learning. Skaters progress at their own rate and badges and ribbons are used to benchmark skaters’ progress and other incentives reward effort and participation. The sessions are taught in group format, by certified professional coaches and carefully trained program assistants. We have FRENCH speaking coaches and program assistants! Per Skate Canada rules, all Canskate participants must wear a CSA approved hockey helmet while on the ice. Skate Canada's helmet use policy for all clubs can be found here in the QUICK LINKS at the bottom of the page.
