Pre-Star - Star 4 Session
Ranges from an introduction to figure skating (Pre-Starskate), which is designed to build on the fundamentals of skating learned in Canskate, to the beginning of figure skating fundamentals (Star 1-4). Pre-Starskate & Star 1 are 100% group instructed. Star 2 and up must attend a min. of 2 days/wk.
Star 5+
This session include skaters at the Star 5 and up level.

Star Testing Program
The STAR testing program consists of three disciplines; FreeSkate, Skills and Dance. Each STAR level will have at least one test in each discipline before the skater can move onto the test STAR level. STAR 1-5 offers figure skating curriculum, targeting athletes looking for a future in the sport. Taught by Skate Canada NCCP coaches, the program introduces participants to the basic figure skating elements to create the foundation figure skating. STAR 6- Gold is an assessment and event structure for skaters who completed the STAR 1-5 Program. This structure builds on the skills acquired in STAR 1-5 and introduces skaters to more advanced figure skating elements. All skaters in this program may be of any age but must have passed CanSkate Stage 6 or equivalent.

Summer 2026 Session: July 6 - August 20 at Cambrian & Countryside Arena
*WEEK 1 and 2 will be at Cambrian and WEEK 3-7 will be at Countryside (pending it is ready to open).*
Partial rates: available if you only want to attend some weeks throughout the summer. In the registration form you can identify the weeks you plan on attending. A partial rate will be provided.
Guest skating: Per session rate of $35/1 Freeskate session is available for those that want to drop in.

STARSKATE - Star 1 - 10Skills, Tests, Achievement,Recognition – this is what STARSkate is all about! This program offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop many fundamental figure skating skills in a group and/or private lesson format in a progressive and sequential manner. Skaters have the opportunity to take Skate Canada Tests through a nationally standardized testing system.

COMPETITIVE SKATESudbury Skating Club is dedicated to continuing its legacy of competitive skating by offering many competitive opportunities to skaters on the Junior, Intermediate and Senior sessions. We are proud to offer competitive opportunities within all levels. Skaters in all programs are taught in a group and/or private lesson by certified professional coaches and trained program assistants.
